Who are Institutional Buyers?
Institutions and institutional buyers can be defined as organizations with a structured research protocol and dedicated research resources. They are not solely separately managed account investors feeding major pension schemes; they include both global and regional organizations that provide product selection and oversight for a wide variety of institutional investors. Institutional investors include public pensions, private pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, multifamily offices, consultants, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, sub advisory entities, bank trusts, affinity groups, high end wealth advisory firms and intermediary platforms among others. Products that may be relevant to these institutional investors include not only separately managed accounts, but private placements, limited partnerships, mutual funds, ETFs and co-investment structures as well.
